  • Notes
    • Samuel came to the US in 1840 and died shortly thereafter. They landed at New Orleans and came up the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. The boat sprang a leak and they were all put ashore in Tennessee until another boat came along and picked them up. During the stay in Tennessee, Samuel died and was buried there. The others came up to Peoria, Woodford and Worth counties in Illinois.

Samuel's daughter Anne came to the US in 1851. Joseph came with father Samuel in 1840. It is believed that Samuel had 4 daughters. (An Anna Gerber married Christoph Gimple 29 Aug 1871 in Tazewell County.) [2]
