pounds) - 350 acres on North River of Cacapon (long
description, no names). Wits.: John Arnold, George Nicson,
Rude Bumgarner (last by mk.). Made: 27 Mar 1761
Recorded: 9 Sept 1761" (John Arnold and George Nixon, are both known Primitive Baptist)
John Arnold is identified by Pugh (II, 44) as a minister of the Primitive Baptist Church
on North River. This church is said to have been established by Benjamin Stone in 1787 and is
the oldest known Baptist Church in the Cacapon or North River Valleys. Levi Ashbrook was
also a minister of the group on North River (Asplund, 27).

George NIXON wife Elizabeth ARNOLD - the Nixon's are believed to from New
Castle CO DE and last week I gave the Nixon researchers all that I had charted on
the New Castle CO DE records I have.
Note: 2 guess what this Arnold family is listed from Chester CO PA and some
of them are with John COPE 1715 Bradford, PA tax list and I found them here
with GEORGE SPADE
Elizabeth remarried to Aaron Ashbrook, son of John and Hannah Ashbrook.
