E. Walker Ropp, 72, a permanent resident at the Illinois House, 207 W. Jefferson, died Monday night at the hotel. A Christian Science practitioner, he was taken to Chicago for cremation. There were no services. He had been living at the Illinois House for 11 months, after leaving Chicago.
He was born March 21, 1902, in Chicago, a son of Rufus and Minnie Walker Ropp. He is survived by an uncle, Leslie Walker, Mackinaw. Memorials may be made to the 19th Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago; or the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 219 E. Monroe.
