      Christian’s death document records that wife Marie was already deceased.

      “Christian Salzman was born circa 1719. He married Marie Rider. He died on Zelle farm at Petit-Tenquin [Ger. Zellerhof am Kleintänchen, now in Moselle] May 5, 1795 at the age of 76, and the event was entered in civil records by his son the following day. The death entry mentioned that Marie Rider had died earlier.” [2]
