      ROPP, LAWRENCE - Lawrence Ropp, 88 of Gibson City died at 2:40 p.m. yesterday 10-29-1988 at Gibson Community Hospital Annex. His funeral will be Tuesday at Gibson City Bible Church, the Rev. Thomas Condron officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Twp Cemetery, Gibson City. He was born 8-18-1900 in Gibson City, a son of Serenus and Barbara Goldsmith Ropp. He married Clara Birky on 12-14-1930 in Peoria. She died 3-23-1988. Survivors include one daughter, Joanne Henderson, Mackinaw; two sisters, Edna Springer, Chenoa, and Irene Johnson, Benson; three grandchildren. Mr. Ropp lived on a farm west of Gibson City all of his life. He was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church and the Ford County Farm Bureau.
