	near La Croix-aux-Mines. Le Chipal, located 16 miles west of Aubure, was a valley hamlet at the time the Waglers were living there. Its homes were destroyed in the summer of 1914, leaving only a church standing (Fr. chapelle Saint-Marc du Chipal). A farm was established in 1919. Its administrative records were kept at nearby La Croix-aux-Mines, and the farm is now part of that community.
