  • Notes
    • Johan Georg may have been a younger brother to Johannes/Jean Eichelberger (born at Soultzthal, Lembach in 1788).
Johan Georg married Maria Anna Ringenberger. According to the 1880 census report of their son Jacob, they were both born in France.
In 1820 they were living at Dunstelkingen, Wu?rttemberg (now the German state of Baden-Wu?rttemberg). That village is now a neighborhood in the municipality of Dischingen.
Circa 1825 they relocated 20 miles to the north to Zöbingen in Ellwangen district.
Their children are documented in Catholic records with birthdates, but no baptism dates. This suggests that Anabaptist parents were complying with a legal requirement to register the births. Their children born in Wu?rttemberg include:
      1. Magdalena Eichelberger was born at Dunstelkingen Feb. 19, 1820, and died at Zöbingen Sept. 25, 1831. Her birth entry described her parents as John. Georg Eichelberger and Marianna Ringenberger.

      2. Johan Georg Eichelberger was born at Dunstelkingen Nov. 11, 1821.

      3. Jacob Eichelberger was born at Ellwangen Dec. 25, 1825.

      4. An unnamed daughter was born at Zöbingen, and died there Jan. 15, 1828.

      5. Peter Eichelberg was born at Zöbingen in 1829, and died there Feb. 20, 1834.

      6. Georg Eichelberger was born at Zöbingen Feb. 3, 1841. [1]
