      Rantoul, April 16 1940 - George Eichelberger, 82, a native of Germany, died at 2 a.m. today in his home here. Death was due to complications resulting from old age. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 1 p.m. Thursday and at 2 p.m. in the East Bend Mennonite Church north of Fisher. Reverend Joseph Haeiser[sic]will be in charge and burial will be in the Mennonite cemetery. Mr. Eichelberger is survived by three daughters: Anna and Alma at home and Mrs. Mary Eberhardt, Cissna Park; four sons, John [of] Rantoul, Ervin [of] Paxton, Joseph [of] Hammond, Ind., and William [of] Palmer, IA.; one brother, John [of] Paxton; two sisters, Mrs. John Rentsch [of] Cissna Park, and Mrs. Lena Gingerick [of] Rensselaier, Ind.; and 23 grandchildren. He was born Feb. 28, 1858, in Munich.
