      Milton P. Zehr, 88, Morton, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 25, 2012) at Maple Lawn Health Center, Eureka.

      He was born Feb. 6, 1924 in Morton, son of Peter and Louisa Sutter Zehr. He married Helen Pfeifer on Jan. 1, 1949 in Morton. She preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2010. He also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Morati Zehr; two brothers, Orrie and Roy Zehr and three sisters, Velma, Fannie and Mary Zehr.

      Surviving are his children, Ruth (Manfred) Brancard, Raymond Zehr, Dennis (Ellen Davis-Zehr) Zehr, Janet Zehr (Peter) Kaufmann and Karen Zehr (Chuck) Horton; four grandchildren, Alex Brancard, Luke Zehr, Simon Zehr and Anna Zehr; one stepgrandson, Andrew Kaufmann and one sister, Doris (Robert) Yoder.
