      EUREKA -- Clarence C. Ulrich, 76, of 1009 Brookline Drive died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 1992, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

      Born Oct. 23, 1915, in Woodford County to Chris and Emma Unzicker Ulrich, he married Lillian Eigsti on Jan. 20, 1937, in Roanoke. 

      She survives along with three sons, Leo of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, Norman of Carlock, and Larry of Peoria; two daughters, Eldyth Christopher and Carol Hammer, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three brothers, Solomon of Metamora, Ray of Palmetto, Fla., and John of Roanoke; two sisters, Velma Hostettler of Roanoke and Nettie Zoss of Eureka; 10 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. One infant daughter, three sisters, and one brother preceded him in death. 

      He attended Illinois Central College in East Peoria and earned a certificate in waste water treatment. 

      He was a farmer and director of maintenance at Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka. 

      He was a member of Metamora Mennonite Church and was a former member and chairman of CROP. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at his church. Steve Ulrich and the Rev. Roger Hochstettler will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mason Funeral Home in Metamora, and one hour before the services at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery in Roanoke. 

      Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Maple Lawn Homes Memorial Hall. The Rev. Robert Harnish will officiate.
