      EUREKA — Edna Ulrich Litwiller passed away at 12:58 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 14, 2011) at Maple Lawn Health Center, Eureka, at the age of 98.

      A private family burial will be in the Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.

      A memorial service will be at Maple Lawn Homes at a later date. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Eureka, is assisting the family with their arrangements.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in her name.

      She was born Nov. 22, 1912, daughter of Peter N. and Louisa Schertz Ulrich in Eureka.

      On Dec. 10, 1936, she married Ralph D. Litwiller. For 29 years, they operated a dairy farm in rural Eureka. Following a move to Eureka, Edna worked in the food service department at Eureka College and later worked as the supervisor of the housekeeping department at Maple Lawn Homes. During the summer of 1987, they moved to a cottage at Maple Lawn.

      She is survived by three sons, Wendell (Betty), Goshen, Ind.; Roger (Ona), Roanoke, Va.; and Robert (Leslie), Rochester, Minn.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 12, 1987; one son, Deryl; one granddaughter, Michelle; and two sisters, Beulah Ulrich and Margaret Strubhar.

      She was a member of the Roanoke Mennonite Church.
