  Joseph became superintendent of the Home for the Aged at Eureka, and his son C. Hery became an outstanding historian of American Mennonites. J.D. Smith’s grandson, James W. Miller, was keeper of C. Henry’s Phi Beta Kappa key and eventually passed it on in March of 2009 to Samantha Bishop.
