      GOSHEN -- Clara G. Hartman, 91, of 1225 Greencroft Drive, died at 3:40 a.m. Friday (Aug. 20, 2004) at Greencroft Healthcare Center.

      She was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Hopedale, Ill., to John and Phoebe (Good) Litwiller. She married Clifford A. Hartman on March 28, 1937, in Hopedale.

      He survives with four sons, Lloyd (Judy) of Dayton, Ohio, Lyle (Marian) of Carmel, Merlin (Mary) of Harleysville, Pa., and Paul (Ethel) of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth (Sanford) Imhoff of Metamora, Ill., Lila Hartman of Texas and Velma (Ed) Weibe of Rockford, Ill.; and one brother, Elmer (Ethel) Litwiller of Hopedale.

      She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice and Dora; and two brothers, Oliver and Clayton; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

      Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. Friends may also call one hour before the 10 a.m. funeral Monday at Waterford Mennonite Church, 65975 S.R. 15, Goshen. Pastor John King will officiate. Burial will follow in Olive (West) Cemetery in Wakarusa.

      Mrs. Hartman was a homemaker who lived in Goshen since 1950. She was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church. [2]
