  “The principal beneficiary of his father’s will. Lived on the old homestead about three miles from Jennertown, Somerset Co., PA. His son Joseph and his grandson David later lived on the same place. He was buried on the old homestead or in the cemetery of the Hopewell Church. His wife was a Mennonite, but all the children were Methodists or United Brethern.” [1]
