Mrs. Sarah Yordy, formerly of Milford, Nebraska, passed away suddenly at her home near Ashley, Michigan early Sunday morning, March 3, 1957. Funeral services were held Wednesday March 6 from the Bethel Mennonite Church of which she was a member, near Ashley, with Brother John Landis, pastor of the church officiating. 

She was born in Milford, Nebr., May 18, 1882, daughter of Christian and Lydia Harris Stauffer. She was married at Milford November 14, 1907 to David Yordy who preceded her in death in 1934. Surviving are four sons and two daughters, Orvin of Pigeon, Michigan, Charles of St. John, Michigan, Ada (Mrs. Leonard Littwiller) of Delavan, Illinois, John of Ashley, Michigan, Emerson of Mio, Michigan, Grace (Mrs. Maynard Brauher) of Middleton, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; one sister, Caroline Stauffer of Maysville, Missouri; four brothers, John Stauffer of Meadow Grove, Albert Stauffer of Elm Creek, Edwin Stauffer of Milford and Amos of Deshler. Preceding her in death were her husband, four grandchildren, her parents, one sister and two brothers.
