One of four Anabaptist families living at Haras:

Michel Saltzmann and his wife Catherine Weiss came from Petit-Tenquin (57) in 1795. Two of their children were born at the Haras: one in 1795, who married in 1827 at Val-de-Guéblange (57), and another in 1800 that died the day after his birth. One son born in 1780 in Petit-Tenquin, Michel the young, married March 3, 1804 at Sarralbe to Hirschy Catherine, daughter of Pierre and Agnès Hirschy Farny. The couple had a child in 1804 who does not appear on the birth certificate. He probably left Sarralbe after that date, perhaps to the Val-de-Guéblange with parents and Michel’s brothers.
