Unzicker, William, son of Wilhelm and Barbara (Gingerich) Unzicker, was born at Munich, Germany, Jan. 12, 1880; died at Gibson City, Ill., June 8, 1963; aged 83 y. 4 m. 27 d. On Jan. 2, 1902, he was married to Anna Oyer, who died Oct. 3, 1948. Surviving are 7 children (Ervin, Alvin, Ores, Esther, Clara-Mrs. Elmer Springer, Dorothy, and Ellis), 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Joseph). He was a member of the East Bend Church, where funeral services were held June 10, in charge of J. Alton Horst and Harold Zehr.

Unzicker: William Unzicker was born at Landsberg, Germany, May 16, 1850; died at the home of his son, William in Fisher, Ill., March 22, 1932; aged 81 y. 10 m. 6 d. He accepted Christ and united with the Mennonite Church at the age of 15 years, and remained faithful to the end. In the year 1872 he was united in marriage to Barbara Guengerich. To this union 9 children were born, 7 of whom died in infancy. He leaves his wife, 2 sons (William and Joseph), 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the East Bend Mennonite Church, Bros. J. A. Heiser and Harold Zehr officiating. Text, I Thes. 4: 13, 14. Interment in East Bend Cemetery.

This couple had seven more children, all of whom died in infancy!

UNZICKER. BARBARA (GUINGERICH) Unzicker was born in Neuberg, Germany, May 8, 1843; died at the home of her son, William, in Fisher, Ill., Dec. 25, 1932; aged 89 y. 7 m. 17 d. She accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Mennonite Church at the age of 15, and remained a faithful member until death. She was married to William Unzicker in October, 1872. To this union were born 9 children, of whom 3 boys and 4 girls preceded her in death, having died in infancy. Her husband also preceded her in death, having died March 22, 1932. She leaves to mourn her departure 2 sons (William and Joseph, both of Fisher, Ill.), 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the East Bend Mennonite Church, Bros. J. A. Heiser and Harold Zehr in charge. Text, Psa. 16:6. Interment in East Bend Cemetery.
