    Notes:

    Family researcher, Judy Cromer Walker believes that Lewis [Louis] C. Cromer is buried in Calloway Cemetery in Tarrant county, near Ft. Worth, Texas.  A listing and photographs provided through the Allen Wheatley Cemetery web site states that Louis Clark Cromer was buried there and his stone reads born May 7, 1842 and died Oct. 1, 1918. Buried with him is Nancy Cromer, born Aug. 16, 1841 and died Aug. 7, 1938.  Virginia E. Armstrong Cromer, who was the wife of Lewis Cromer's brother James L. Cromer, was buried in the same cemetery next to Lewis and his wife.  Additional research into census records on Lewis C. Cromer have not turned up any definite clues.

    The family went to Tarrant Co. TX about 1870 according to family information.

Halleck.

    Ancestry.com 1830 IN census, Washington Co., there is a Martin Cromer, age 30-40, with 3 males under 5, 2 females 5-10, and 1 female 30-40.

    Estate records include the names of John Thompson, Wm. Park, James Park, Nathan Ware, Spencer Altum, P.R. Sawyers, Morris West, Ebenezer Park, George Cooper, William Park, Sashel Brown (who married Anna Cromer). Morgan Kelly was the administrator. William Bell was one of the appraisers.

    There were also accounts for P.N. Butler and J.P. Childers.

    Martin may have lived in IN for a time with his first wife (who is unknown), as a daughter Sophia was evidently born there.

    May have had a son James, b. 1848 in Franklin Co., who married Virginia E. Armstrong on 24 Apr 1870, and later moved to Tarrant Cty. TX.
