Marriage document seems to say Nicholas is a widower, but no name of first spouse. He is the son of deceased Jacques Risser and Catherine Ruppe, father and mother from Alzing. It does not say if Catherine Ruppe is dead or alive.

Jacob and Katharina farmed the property Alsing near Gosselming late in the eighteenth century.

They were at Alzing when their daughter Anne was born in 1761, during the time when the local priest was trying to force baptisms of Anabaptist children born at on the farm.
