    Notes:

They lived on the Ziegelhof. Ziegel means 'brick.' A Hof can be a farm or estate, but the literal translation is yard, describing an enclosed courtyard surrounded by house, barns, and stable on most estates. Thus Ziegelhof could be the name of an estate, or a brick yard. This address is also found as Ziegelhaus.
Heinrich lived on the Ziegelhof, and also at Ste. Marie-aux-Mines.

    Notes:

What is now the Illinois Heiser/Hieser family line has had many various surname spellings over the years: Huser/Husser/Hauser/Hyzer, and Heusser (pronounced Hoyser).

Rudolph was probably born at Richterswil, Canton Zurich, as there are lots of Hussers there, and since the Goldschmidts were also from that village, and as soon as the Goldschmits arrived in Ste. Marie-aux-Mines one of the men married Rudolph’s daughter (the couple were the g-grandparents of minister Joseph Goldsmith).

Rudy was minister at Mannheim (then in the Palatinate, now in Baden-Wurttemberg his presence documented by his correspondence with Ste. Marie-aux-Mines while ministering to Riest Mennonites there), went from there (1708-12) to live at Fertrupt next to Ste. Marie-aux-Mines by 1712.
