    Jesse Schrock Dies at Age 103

    PEORIA -- Jesse Schrock, 103, of Peoria Apostolic Christian Home died at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at the home.

    Born June 19, 1894, in Congerville to Jonathon and Naomi Gerber Schrock, he married Lillian Welk on Sept. 19, 1920, in Morton. She died Nov. 17, 1995. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

    Surviving are three sons, Roy of Congerville, Melvin of Elgin and Donald of Morton; one sister, Mae Schrock of Eureka; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

    He farmed in the Congerville area before retiring.

    He was a member and former minister of Congerville Apostolic Christian Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Goodfield-Congerville Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Congerville.
