    • “The family moved from the Trippstadt, Germany area, to Windstein, Alsace, France, some 50 miles to the south. The timing of this move is uncertain. It is clear that their children were born on the Wilensteinerhof hear Trippstadt, and that the family was in Winstein, France before Johannes died in 1803.” [8]
