- In 1860, 32 y.o. Joseph Kofman from France, his wife Madalene (33, b. Bavaria) were living in Fondulac township, Tazewell County, where Joseph was farming. The family included George (16) and Jacob (14) both born in Bavaria (and likely the Georg Kettner III and Jacob Lindeler that were traveling with the Kettner family in 1851), and Catharine (10), August (9), Peter (5), Madaline(5), and Elizabeth(4) ... all born in Illinois.
