On June 17, 1844, the ship Baltimore arrived in New York from Havre. Five people from Bavaria were traveling together: Peter Zerr 25 Joseph Burger 26 Catharina Kunder 27 Mary Burge 28 Johann Horn 6 (New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957, 1844, June 17, Baltimore, p. 4)
Catharina Kettner (Possibly) In 1851, Catharina was listed as “33” when she immigrated with her father. She would have thus been 27 in 1844. Catharina Kettner was the first cousin of Mary Birky and may have been female company for Mary as she emigrated, or may have simply decided to return to Bavaria, only to later emigrate with her father and siblings.
