FOUR ANABAPTIST FAMILIES ATTESTED AT HARAS
? Jean Hauter and his wife Barbe Esch arrived from Assviller (67) at the Haras around 1799 and had 10 children in Sarralbe between 1799 and 1817, five of whom died. One of their descendants, Elisabeth Hauter, married André Roggy in 1812 in Lorentzen (67). This last couple settled at Haras and had three children in Sarralbe between 1813 and 1816.
? Michel Saltzmann and his wife Catherine Weiss came from Petit-Tenquin around 1795. Two of their children were born at Haras in 1795 and 1800.
? Jean Birky and his wife Madeleine Schertz left Lorentzen to settle at Haras around 1817. They had four children between 1817 and 1825, two of whom died during this period. André Birky, a brother of Jean, also works at Haras with his wife Barbe Ruffenacht .
? Jacques Stalter , whose parents are found at the Tencherhof, works as a laborer at Haras in 1799, when his wife Barbe Imhoff gives birth to a daughter.
