Aug 16th 1762 A deed from Fairfax to George Parke desc. leaves 1/3 to his widow Elizabeth Ashbrook a certain tract of land containing 400 acres. This land was sold while they lived in Botetourt Co. VA deed was signed by George Parke Jr & wife Lydia and Mother Elizabeth Ashbrook w/o Aaron Ashbrook formerly of Hampshire Co VA.
This George Park is shown as married to an Elizabeth Arnold. More information is needed on Elizabeth. The Arnold family were very prominent in the Hampshire Co. area. , Elizabeth Arnold Park evidently married an Aaron Ashbrook after the death of George as her name is mentioned in the deed records along with George Park, Jr.
Some have speculated that Roger, brother to George, married Hannah Arnold, but no evidence of this has been found. His daughter, Hannah, however, did marry a John Arnold and is found in the Arnold Family History of Va.
