- 1948, Obituary of Anna Maria DULLY WUBBEN KRUG
Morton, Apr. 19 (TPS) – Mrs. Anna Krug, 78, died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday at her home in Groveland, where she had been ill for more than a year. ... Burial will be in the Defenseless Mennonite cemetery, Groveland. Mrs. Krug was born in Groveland township Mar. 13, 1870, a daughter of Micha- el and Magdalena Wageman Dully. On Mar. 13, 1890, she married Carl Wubben in Pekin and Mr. Wubben died Oct. 22, 1902. On Nov. 24, 1904, she married Louis Krug in Pekin. Mr. Krug died Nov. 13, 1943. Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Bertha Layten, Delavan; Carl B. Wubben, Danvers; Arnold M. Wubben, Eureka; Owen B. Wubben, Pekin; Mrs. Louise E. Macha, Morton; Harvey R. Krug, Delavan; Reuben Krug, Morton, and two stepchildren, Louis Krug, Washington, and Miss Elsie Krug, Bartonville. Another daughter preceded her in death. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive, as do a brother; Joseph Dulley (correct: Dully), Morton, and four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Klein, Groveland; Mrs. Mary Stormer, Mackinaw; Mrs. Elizabeth Thielbar, Pekin, and Mrs. Lena Birky, Morton. Mrs. Krug was a member of the Groveland Missionary church and resided in Tazewell County her entire lifetime (Pekin Daily Times, 19 Apr 1948: page 3, column 3). [2]
