    • Jacob (of Elm Grove), at the age of 27 married Minnie Feith, age 21 of Hopedale, daughter of Rudolph Feith and Elizabeth Weisman on 12 July 1883.

      Lived in Tazewell County, Illinois but later moved to Nebraska in a covered wagon to homestead there. Their house had a dirt floor and they burnt buffalo chips for wood. At the time of his death, Jacob (known as Jake) owned 1200 acres of land. (Anna Danz, 1977) [3]
