Roanoke Preachers Take Part in the Impressive Final Service
The funeral services of Joseph Pelsy, Sr., which were held July 21, at Francesville, Ind., at the Apostolic Christian church were conducted by Rev. William Schafer of Roanoke, Ill., and Rev. George Yergler of LaCrosse. Rev. David Mangold of Roanoke, Ill., offered prayer at the grave.
Mr. Pelsy had besides his children twenty-seven living grandchildren and three grandchildren deceased, all those living being present at the funeral except Herman C. Wuethrich, who is touring Europe. There is also one nephew living in France. Mr. Pelsy crossed the ocean nine times.
The pall bearers were: Joseph, Paul, John and Emil Pelsy, and John and Chris Wuethrich.
