    • Following are remarks by Alvin Yordy at the Joseph Yordy Reunion, June 10, 1978:
      "Ella, my oldest sister, never married. She suffered several nervous breakdowns during her long span of life. To her credit, she achieved excellence as a gardener and always had many beautiful houseplants. She also spent many years caring for our Mother during those later years when she was more or less in invalid. In addition to Ella's caring were the many years when Aaron, Jonas and Anna gave of their labor of love, patience, and hard work to make life possible for Mother to remain in her own home until her death in her 90th year."
