  • Notes
    • Resided in Mistelberg and Munstertal. Had six children.

{ Ulrich’s children were all born in Eschert. Ulrich’s second son Christian b. 1729 appears to have lived in France when he married his wife who was from Alsace. One logical explanation might be that as a young single man he went to visit his father’s cousin Petter b. 1694 who is mighthave lived in Saales. Christian’s oldest son, Karl, was born at nearby Colmar, Haut-Rhin in 1760. Soon they returned to the Jura and lived in such places as Munsterthal and Perrefitte. Miller also has him at one time living back at Mistleberg At some point, Karl moved back to the Wynigen area and the last several of his children were born at Kaltacker, about a mile southwest of Leumberg.
Ulrich b.1760’s fourth son Johannes b.1812 married Barbara Lantz in 1850. The couple moved to Allen County Ohio sometime before 1855 where their son David was born in 1855. A second son Aldoph was born to them in 1869.
Ulrich’s second son Bendicht lived in Eschert all his life. Bendicht’s oldest son Bendicht b. 1767 married three times and his last wife died in 1807. Of all of his children only his oldest Son Ullrich b. 1789 remained in Europe. He stayed in the Jura. His son Peter moved temporarily to the Haut-Rhin area of France, but soon moved to Pruntrut in the Jura, but there seems to be considerable movement back and forth between the Jura and the Haut-Rhin area by the Schrag family.
Bendicht moved to Ohio in 1817, accompanied by his single children of whom at least 5 were still living. They are: Barbara b.1788, Peter b. 1791, Jacob b.1792, Verena b.1799, Elisabeth b. 1805. [3]
