  • Notes
    • Amos fell as a child and was thereafter an invalid, cared for by his mother until his death. His mother, Fannie (Veronica) Birky, was paid some funds each year from the estate of Amos for her care of him.

Because he was unable to care for himself, he was “Judged insane by the Champaign, IL, County Court.” John Schrock was named conservator for Amos and his estate.

Amos’ estate at time of death was $1700. Total cost and expenses, including funeral expenses were $208.58, leaving $1491.42 to be distributed to the heirs. [2, 3]
