    • Barbara Sutter (1851-1885). Joseph and Barbara married in 1874 and had 5 children, Christian Benjamin 1874, Lydia 1876, Magdalena 1880, Emma 1882 and a daughter who died in infancy. Barbara died in 1885 and was buried in the Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery in Tazewell County, Illinois.
