Notes - Samuel Staker married Louise Zimmerman. Their farm was located on the edge of Groveland - so close to town that they could almost be considered town folks. Sam and Louise had five children - Russell, Walter, Lester, Alice and Myrtle. Louise died in 1931 at the age of forty-two. Sam was a sociable person who enjoyed being with people. After a few years as a widower, he married Anna Birkey. Anna died in 1964 at the age of seventy-seven. Sam died in 1971. He was ninety-one. [4]
