FOOSLAND -- Floyd Richard Horsch, 77, of Foosland died at 7:25 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 9, 2008) at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb Funeral Home, 303 N. Church St., Gibson City. The Rev. David Condreay will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the East Bend Cemetery in Fisher.
Mr. Horsch was born Sept. 4, 1930, in Foosland, a son of Joseph and Ruth Birky Horsch.
Surviving Floyd are two brothers, Orville (Hannah) Horsch of Oklahoma City, and Joseph Horsch of Eureka; one sister, Velma (David) Condreay of Gibson City; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Horsch of Gibson City; two nieces, Peggy Horsch of Foosland, and Deborah Van Dollen of Oklahoma City; two nephews, Rodney Horsch of Foosland, and John Horsch of Oklahoma City; and many great-nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and his brother, Donald.
Floyd spent all of his life living and farming in the Foosland area. He loved working out-of-doors and helping in all aspects of grain and animal farming. He was a loyal member of the Stratford Park Bible Chapel in Champaign. He lived out his personal faith in Jesus Christ and devotion to God on a daily basis with family and all those he met.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Stratford Park Bible Chapel.
