    • Ike was born to Daniel and Phoebe King Heiser. He married Helen C. Rapp on May 28, 1931, in Morton. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1998.

      Surviving are one son, Lee (and Roxanne) Heiser; one daughter, Myra Cook; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

      Elton owned and operated Heiser Insurance Agency in Morton for 20 years, retiring in 1974. He also served as the Morton Township Assessor for more than 30 years.

      He was a charter member of the Morton Optimist Club and served as secretary of the Morton School Boards for many years. 

      He was a member of the Morton United Methodist Church. [3]
