FISHER – Dale D. Ingold, age 79, of Fisher went home to be with the Lord at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday April 20, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday April 24, at the Gibson City Bible Church in Gibson City with Pastor Paul Thomason officiating. Burial will be at the Willowbrook Cemetery in Fisher. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 23, at the church.
Mr. Ingold was born July 31, 1930, in Fisher, a son of Harve and Esther (Heiser) Ingold. He Married Roberta A. Patterson on June 15, 1954. She survives in Fisher.
Also surviving is a son, Steve (Belinda) Ingold, and daughters Diana (David) Wilkinson and Pam (Jim) Vestal, all of Fisher; another daughter Julie (Kandy) Ingold of Ft. Myers, Fla.; a sister, Vivian Ingold of Fisher; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Wayne and Clyde Ingold.
Dale was a retired longtime owner of Ingold's Grocery store in Fisher. He loved his family, gardening, drawing, painting, and model railroading. He also loved his hometown of Fisher.
After retirement he truly enjoyed visiting with friends, neighbors, and former customers. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. He was a man of faith and never hesitated to share his testimony. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Memorials can be made to the Gibson City Bible Church in Dale Ingold's name. Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City is in charge of the arrangements.
