      FISHER – Evelyn L. Springer, age 93, of Fisher died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at the Gibson City Bible Church in Gibson City, with the Rev. Paul Thomason and the Rev. Kevin Heiser officiating. Burial will be in the East Bend Mennonite Cemetery in Fisher. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church. Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Springer was born June 21, 1914, in Fisher, a daughter of Sam J. and Tillie (Ingold) Heiser. She married Ervin C. Springer on Sept. 28, 1937, in Fisher. He died March 19, 1992. Surviving are three sons, Leon (Eve) Springer of Fisher, Wes (Linda) Springer of Gilson, Ill., and Edward (Wendy) Springer of Fisher; five daughters, Lila (Frank) Lenberg of Moline, Ill., Arlene (Adrian) Biberstine of Berne, Ind.; Doris (Fred) Kramer of Onslow, Iowa, Bev (Gary) Unruh of Lincoln, Neb., and Barbara (Karl) Coulter of Fisher; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (John) Bruehl of Normal; and a brother, Melvin (Shirley) Heiser of Fisher. One grandson, a brother and a sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church for many years and was active in the Women's Missionary. Memorials may be made to the Gibson City Bible Church.
