Notes - Issak Hochstettler was born at Weinbourg Jan. 21, 1740, and died on the Neuhof near Niederlauterbach, Lower Alsace Oct. 29, 1817. He married four times. His first wife was Maria Siegel, the daughter of Ulrich Siegel and Anna Lehmann of Elschbacherhof, Saar, who died about 1770. He remarried to Anna Rupp, widow of Hans Ringenberg, and assumed his lease on the Bewarstein Castle estate Barbelsteinerhof, just over the border in Erlenbach, Germany. About this time, Issak became a minister for the congregation at Froensburg in Lower Alsace, with members in Germany and France. He represented the Froensburg congregation at the Essingen ministers conference in 1779. Anna died in 1784. Isaak remarried to Catherine/Katharina Schantz in 1784. Anna Holly became his fourth and last wife on July 18, 1799 at Steinseltz,. She was the daughter of Jacob Holly and Anna Marie Kurtz, and the widow of Christian Güngerich of Steinseltz. Witnesses included Christian Roggy of Reidseltz, 37. Isaak lived on the Lauterbacherhof in 1765; on the Bewartstein Castle estate Barbelsteinerhof 1770-1783; on the Lauterbacherhof 1784-1809; and on the Neuhof near Niederlauterbach 1809-1817.
