Jeffrey R. Wilson, 58, of Paxton died at 3:24 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Paxton Church of Christ, 400 W. Ottawa Road, with the Rev. Barry Hinkle and Mike Adwell officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton.
Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 6, 1956, in Urbana, a son of Ray and Barb Ingold Wilson. He married Jan Birkey Aug. 25, 1979, in Fisher. She survives.?Also surviving are three daughters, Lindsay Wilson of Plainfield, Jodie (Curtis) Arnette of Paxton and Kellie Wilson of Champaign; three grandchildren, Karleigh, Ryenne and Braylen; his mother, Barb Wilson of Savoy; one sister, Janice Lee of Slater, Mo.; two brothers, David (Dawn) Wilson and Charlie Wilson, both of Buckley; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelly and Minerva Birkey.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Wilson graduated from Paxton High School. He was an electrician for R & T Electric of Paxton for the past 20 years and farmed with his family for many years. He spent 30 years selling farm toys and parts.
He enjoyed NASCAR, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, camping and grilling out. He was an avid Illini and Bears football fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
