  Obit: John Rost Services for John L. Rost, 90, of Caldwell, who died Saturday, Jan. 17, in a Nampa nursing home of natural causes, will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  The Rev. Arthur R. Hauge of the Calvary Baptist Church, Nampa, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  Mr. Rost was born Oct. 18, 1896, at Pound, Wis., to Frank and Bertha Rost. He was raised near Green Bay, Wis. He married Edna V. Birky in 1920. He had farmed all of his life. Mrs. Rost died in 1973.  He moved in 1980 to Caldwell, where he had since resided. He was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church at Gibson City, Ill.  He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Amato of Caldwell; two sons, Robert H. Rost of Hammond, Ill., and Donald G. Rost of Plainsvllle, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, and several brothers and several sisters.  Memorials may be made to the Gibson City Bible Church, in care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell 83606.  Friends may call today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Dakan chapel. [2]
