Daniel Schrock Funeral Services Saturday at 2:30
Funeral services for Daniel Schrock, prominent Pekin carpenter, who died unexpectedly at St. Francis hospital yesterday at 12:10 p.m., will be held from the Noel funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.
Altho Mr. Schrock had been in comparatively poor health for some time the exact condition of his health--even to the last few moments of his life--was unknown to a great many of his friends.
About two weeks ago he was taken to the hospital, and last Friday a major operation was performed. Following the operation many complications developed, and his life ended Thursday at noon.
Daniel Schrock was born in Elm Grove township Jan. 16, 1869, the son of John and Barbara Rediger Schrock.
He never married, and is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Peter Schrock, Ed Schrock, Pekin; Mrs. Catherine Ropp, Pasadena; Miss Bina Schrock, Mrs. Sarah Ringwaldt, Mrs. Herman Gueber, Pekin; Mrs. Belle Thode, Pasadena; Miss Frances Schrock, William Schrock, and Mrs. Charles Heisel, Pekin.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. E. V. Young of the First Methodist Church of which the deceased was a member. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
The body was removed to the residence at 714 S. Ninth street and until Saturday noon friends may call there.

Dan and his brother Will (John W.?) were carpenters, and in the winter they worked for an ice company, making and cutting big blocks of ice on Bailey Lake with horses. [2, 4]
