      FISHER – E. Gale Heiser, 82, of Fisher went to meet his Savior on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 21, 2016) at his daughter's home in Farmer City.

      He was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Gibson City, a son of Ervin "EW" and Agatha (Weins) Heiser. He married Janice Stacy on June 11, 1957.

      He is survived by three children, Peggy (Kirk) Heiser-Redding, Gale Matthew (Debbie) Heiser of Fisher and Nathaniel (Sachiko) Heiser of Elgin; a brother, William Heiser of Brighton, Mich.; a sister, Edith Heiser of Fisher; six grandchildren, Staci Redding, Stefani Tobias, Morgan Bolser, Christine Heiser, Sydni Redding and Jed Chow; and three great-grandchildren, Colin, Caleb and Colby.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Gale was a 1952 graduate of Fisher High School. He served in the Illinois National Guard. He owned and operated the Heiser Oil and Gas Co. for 40 years.

      Gale was proud to serve as the mayor of Fisher for 22 years. He was a Bear and Cubs fan and enjoyed traveling with family. He loved horses and attended many horse shows with family.

      There will be a gathering of friends and family from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Glades Hall at the Fisher Fairgrounds.
