    • Eighteen year old "Thiebold Haushalder" arrived with other family members on the ship "Havre" which arrived in New York on June 10, 1835.

      He married Marie Zehr in Pennsylvania on May 8, 1838.

      In the 1840 US Census he was listed as "D. Housholder", the head of a family consisting of an adult male, adult female, and male under 5 years old)living in Louisville, Jefferson County Kentucky. The family relocated to Woodford County, Illinois in the mid-1840's. 

      The spelling of the given and surnames changed frequently.
