  Obit: Chris Ulrich, 93, of Maple Lawn Homes, Eureka, and formerly of Washburn, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday (April 29, 2010) at Maple Lawn. Chris was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Shelbyville, to David M. and Lena Eigsti Ulrich. He married Lola Mae Schertz on Aug. 14, 1946, in Fisher. She survives.  Three brothers, two sisters, and one infant brother and sister preceded him in death. Chris was a World War II veteran, serving in Okinawa. He was the founder of Ulrich Motor Co. in Washburn in 1951. He was an active member of Metamora Mennonite Church for over 60 years and also an active member of his community. Chris was also a charter member of the Snag Creek Golf Club. [2]
