  • Notes
    • “Elisabeth gave birth to her second son six years after Daniel was born (Johann Baptist Holly). His father was Adam Kandler, a Catholic man from Lindach, and their son was baptized Catholic as Johann Baptist Kandler. His father insisted that he be raised in the Catholic faith. Elisabeth and her father objected and had the baby’s baptissm rescinded. His name then became Anton Holly. However, Elisabeth’s second son is referred to in records as John Baptist Holly. John B. emigrated to Illinois in 1870, and married Anna Graber…They lived in Kansas and Oklahoma and had 13 children. Their first son was named Daniel Holly, born 1879. Daniel had ten children, born in Colony, Oklahoma, and died in California.” [2]
