      MORTON - Jack A. Anderson , 71, of 328 Willow Oak Drive died at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at his residence. 

      Born Oct. 25, 1930, in Heyworth to Eugene and Maude Lawson Anderson, he married June Ferguson on Aug. 17, 1951, in Morton. She survives. 

      Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Vicki) Hildreth of Denver; two sons, Mark (and Karen) of Pekin and Eric (and Susan) of Morton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

      He was preceded in death by two brothers. 

      A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the Marine Corps until retiring in 1971. 

      He then was a machinist for Meyer Morton Co. for 15 years. He also had worked for Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge Group Homes in Morton for 12 years. 

      He was a charter member of New Life Christian Church in Morton, where he was an office volunteer for many years. 

      Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour before services. The Revs. David Troyer and Bob See will officiate. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 318.  [2]
