Notes - “Gottlieb was known as a teacher of German language school during the first 35 years of residence in Montgomery Township. using the Bible as a textbook, he taught a liberal education, such as history, geography, literature, poetry, etc., designed to aid immigrant children who did not fully grasp a second language.
“Because of his extensive musical training in both organ and violin, Gottlieb also taught music and singing.”
Three of his sons began manufacturing chain link fence in 1897. Their first order came from Jacob Zehr: 396 ft. of fencing purchased from Hohulin Brothers Fence Company for $26.90 (including gate). [1]
