  • Notes
    • Of Ernstweilerhof near Zweibrücken.

In the 18th century this area was home to a Mennonite congregation. It merged in the 1930s with the Amish congregation and today constitutes Zweibrücken’s Mennonite congregation. Ernstweilerhof estate, home of Nikolaus, is now a restaurant incorporated into the city of Zweibrücken. Nearby is a tree planted in honor of Kaiser Wilhelm by Jakob Stalter in honor of “peace.” [6, 7]
