    • Jacobina Engel Schertz daughter of Joseph Engel and Madeline Gingerich and wife of Andre Schertz was born on 11 July 1803 in Kalhausen or Brandelfing France. She came to America in 1846. She died on 20 July 1885 at her daughter's home near Morton Ilinois. She was a member of the Mennonite religion. [2]
